I donated with LeukoLab and it was a very pleasant experience. The employees are helpful and friendly. The compensation is great especially living in California where the cost of living is so high. LekoLabs made the entire process hassle free and I will definitely be back to donate again.
LeukoLabs in Alameda employs the most considerate, experienced, and diverse staff that makes you feel like you belong and accurately represents our community! Not to mention that the compensation helped me pay for my bachelors degree and loans! I’ve been donating for a year and a half and every time they are respectful and warm!
LeukoLab in Alameda is really great.
My buddy mentioned he went there to get some extra cash for donating his blood.
Everyone there is really friendly and down to Earth.
The nurses are beyond wonderful, very attentive and caring.
I've done whole blood, regular white blood cell, and mobilized white blood cell donations.
Easy to do and goes to a good cause. Research.
Easy $.
I went in for the White blood Cell donatioon which took about a week and a lot of headaches due to the medication I was being injected with. Amrit and Kaitlyn were so incredibly helpful and easy to work with. It was an absolute pleasure to go into the office every day for a whole week and go through the procedure. You guys are doing an amazing job and keep up the good work!!
I have donated twice now, once for white blood cells and once for bone marrow, and both experiences were with phenomenal staff! White blood cell donation is about 4 hours, which I was able to sleep through. The bone marrow donation took about half an hour, but it is a more intense procedure but nothing you can’t handle. The doctor uses a local anesthetic to numb the area so that you can’t feel much. There is some residual pain (feels like a bruise) for about 1-3 days but nothing that will deter you from going about your day. The bed side manners at LeukoLab are top-notch; Sarah and Rea Ann have done my initial screenings and everything was always painless and, even dare I say, fun. The admin, nurses, and doctors are so friendly and caring. If you want to contribute to science and earn a little something while doing it, I highly recommend!
