I take two classes here: bollywood and contemporary. Both classes have helped me a great deal with fitness and confidence. Mrs monica, the owner, is so sweet and understanding if you ever can not make it to a class. The classes are perfect if you like a smaller class size or are nervous in crowds. I love the individual attention the teachers place on the students. Many times in bollywood dance I have done a move incorrectly and the teacher immediately noticed, told me and turned the situation into a learning experience. Everything just feels so nice and like a family when you're there. I would suggest contemporary dance to anyone with persistent balance or knee problems such as myself.
I volunteered and danced at this studio and I have to say, Miss Monica is one of the best! You can tell she's very passionate and loves what she does. The other dance teachers are also very enthusiastic and care about their students and make the dance classes fun! This past year (2016), Dance Live Dream Center won "Most Spirited" at the Light Parade in Castro Valley.
I'd been having a great experience at this dance center. Excellent teachers and parking is good. My children love going to their dance lessons.
DLDC is a great place to dance! This is a non-competitive school whose goal is to teach the love of dance for persona expression and to maintain good health. This is not like the other studios in Castro Valley. Everyone is welcome here. I highly recommend this studio for students who want to improve their technique and have fun under teachers who care about them as whole people.
I've been dancing with Ms. Monica for the past 24 years and have had the opportunity to dance/work along side Ms. Monica for the past 15 years. Ms. Monica has made DLDC a noncompetitive, fun, energetic dance studio every kid the stops by will enjoy. I've danced since I was 5 at a competitive dance studio, and being able to see the wonderful kids have fun at a noncompetitive dance studio warms my heart! Ms. Monica has a lot of experience teaching kids, and she will always be my #1 recommended dance teacher to refer kids to. If you want your kid(s) to have fun without any pressure of being "perfect" stop by the studio and check out on of the many classes that are offered at DLDC.
