Local Cafe

This store is better than the one at Cupertino, with a more diverse menu and better flavor. Will try again if I come nearby.

One of the unfortunate aspects of this branch of Local Cafe is that their prices are a bit-higher than their other locations. However that's largely because the environment and atmosphere more than make up for it. Local Cafe Fremont as a sprawling karaoke set up, and an excellent selection of beverages all lined up on these massive fridges against the wall. They also have a claw machine (that's a little rigged in my opinion). The food is wonderful and authentic. Especially love their afternoon tea options. They are a good example of casual authentic cantonese, South-Chinese cuisine.

Don’t know why but it was very hard for one of the waiters to see us and serve us.

Lunch during pandemic on a Saturday noon. There was plenty of parking and we were seated immediately. Overall, the food was very good but there is one thing to watch out for if you do not eat spicy food. Three items we ordered were spicy but was not indicated on the menu. We initially ordered them to share amongst the family but both my wife and son do not eat spicy food and therefore was not able to eat any of them. Other than that, everything else was good; the place was nicely decorated and clean, food arrived quickly, and the staff were friendly.

Honestly, the food is ok, nothing is outstanding compared to the restaurants in this complex. The steam yellow chicken tastes just fine but it’s cool, I think if it’s served hot it will be better. Salted and pepper fried tofu is too much breaded, crunchy but I just personally don’t like a thick flour cover for any fried food. Seafood fried rice is good with many different toppings. Pork Green bean is too much greasy. Good service, friendly staffs.
