Knowing that my family would feel compelled to arrange an elaborate funeral when my time came, I decided to take matters into my own hands and arrange for the direct cremation I preferred. When the unthinkable happened and a drunk driver crashed into my parents’ car and both were killed immediately, I was beside myself with grief. My brother was adamant about his desire to be cremated. His death was not unexpected. So we did not have to deal with the shock of it. One can never be fully prepared though for the loss. At least his wishes were clear though and Midwest carried out the direct cremation without a hitch and extremely affordably. We were able to choose a beautiful urn and we will most likely continue to look at that fondly many times a day forever.

As much as one’s own demise is not a fun topic by any means, I am big planner in every area of my life and that includes death. That leads me to comment on the beauty of Midwest’s website as well as the fully comprehensive information it offers. How refreshing to have clear answers to all my questions presented in such an excellent format.
