(November 6, 2022, 4:54 pm)I spent years at Jupiter Systems as a hardware designer, along with a bunch of other bright boys. We made all our own products. Video went everywhere. With their 980 system, I actually implemented dual Zeons in Compact PCI, giving us unprecedented power. I got to design most of the PixelNet nodes too. Eric Wogsberg drove that project himself, with me on the hardware. We had a capable software designer too.
The Founders were a technical wizard named Frank Spahn and the president, Eric Wogsberg.
It was a great place to work.
Eric found out he was dying toward the end, and arranged the sale to the current Jupiter team.
I can't testify for the new management. Jupiter now sells video solutions made by others, and I was gone in the change of ownership.
I can testify to at least a decade of technical excellence and technical ambitiousness by Jupiters' founders.
