(April 21, 2018, 2:14 pm)This is a continuation of the Chabot to Garin trail, connecting Don Castro below to the 5 Canyons trail system which continues on to south Hayward and Garin Park. The first hill up to the water tanks is pretty aggressive, and I would rate it as difficult, but it's only 1/4 of a mile and then you're at the top. After that, it is all easy and medium difficulty. Beautiful views of the Bay and a great place to watch the sun set! Enjoy the beautiful grasslands and Oak and Bay Tree forest! Lots of wildlife.
