  A nice place to get away where it's not too far to drive. You can do some hiking or do some fishing at the lake. Camping is fun as well!

  Nice campground located near Livermore at a 90 min driving distance from the bay area. They have shower, well maintained and cleaned restrooms, drinking water and most of the facilities a good campground can have. There is also one small store for some snacks and daily essentials purchase. Within 1-2 there is also a very good lake, where people play in the water, kayak, do picnic etc.
  
  They have 150 campsites, but because of the location, it's usually booked. try to plan a few weeks in advance to get a good site and for enough days required.

  Our family has been camping there for the last 4 years. Bathrooms and showers are available and close by each clusters of camp sites. There is one communal sink for cleaning dishes. If you forget to bring your own firewood, the camp ground store sells it for about $9/bundle (6-8 pieces). The staff are always friendly at the camp site and at the marina. We always rent a patio boat to explore the lake: fishing, swimming, hiking, and relaxing.

  Awesome place for family camping, no cell service, so it forces ppl to communicate and play games!

  Loved it. Clean, not overpopulated, fun. Water was nice although my kids complained it was too cold. Going back again soon.
