Patten Academy

An amazing school that cares deeply for every student that attends. They spread love and care for those who attend during school and even outside of school. Patten offers great education material, an orchestra program and various sport programs, all of which I took advantage of! They are wonderful. Classes are small so individual students are able to get the attention they deserve. I attended this school for 9 years and the wonderful teachers provided me with a high quality education which I am now able to use in college.

PACE is such a remarkable light to the community. This school is instrumental in the development and enrichment to students in the Fruitvale Community.

They are Biblically based and even have scholars teaching their core classes because they want to give back to the community they have called home. Academically excellent school!

Sacrifices are made every day to keep the kids who should be there enrolled. These negative comments are bitter parents who’s child didn’t want to succeed after countless interventions to motivate them.

The faculty pour their heart and sounds into each and every student while cultivating a love that is an extension of Christ.

They are truly light to Oakland and the Bay Area!

Strong academics, small class sizes, one of the best music programs around, and an athletic program that consistently wins league championships are all part of this school - but their greatest strength is the individual attention and care given to students. Patten Academy is an amazingly remarkable school with rigorous academics, loving faculty who truly cares about the development and future of each student, along with a Christ centered philosophy to construct proper character and allow for a solid foundation to our future leaders. This campus is an Oasis in Oakland!

Patten Academy is a Great School. It's small, safe with high quality education. The teachers are caring and accessible. All of the staff are helpful and really care for the best interest of the students and their families. The class sizes are small. They have a 100% Graduation Rate, which is rare in Oakland. The students go on to colleges of their choice. Graduates have attended UC Berkeley and other well know colleges and Universities in California and out of state including Morehouse and the
U S Naval Academy. They have a top rated music program that compete and have won several awards. The students from kindergarten to high school participate in regular educational field trips which is unheard of in most schools these days. On top of the high rated education, students are taught and expected to have high moral standards and character. Most parents like myself wants a school to support high standards, have great education, a safe environment along with being able to prepare a student for college and handle life. Patten Academy has done that for my family and many others. They have a really good sports program in which their teams have won championships. I would encourage all parents to check out Patten it is truly a light and diamond in Oakland. The tuition is low compared to some of the other private schools in our area. If you want great education for less Patten has it. My son is attending one of the most selective colleges in the country, with 100% paid tuition and he was accepted due to his education and leadership qualities that he learned at Patten. His best friend who also attended Patten received a scholarship to play basketball in Boston.
