  I went to Sarah for about 3 months in late '10/early '11. Like many people, I struggled with the idea of what I wanted to do in a career, so it made sense that I talk to someone to help me figure out what I wanted to do.
  
  I liked Sarah from the start, and was excited with how I got through her questions and exercises. Her approach included trying to get to the real rationale for why I wanted to do what I said I did, through observing my emotions and through mediation exercises.
  
  After a few weeks, I started to feel some resistance to Sarah's approach. Eventually, I realised what I really had a problem with was my resistance to someone shining a light on my personality and deep seated motives. Sarah compelled me to really look at myself and to have a look at how my motives to go down certain career paths may be informed by unconscious desires to achieve some kind of perfection that I was unlikely to attain. She was brilliant in how she helped me to recognize and face up to my blind spots, and to overcome my initial resistance to this.
  
  One thing I will always remember was diligently working through one of her exercises over the space of a week dealing with my childhood and discussing it afterwards with her. All she did was to ask me what I thought of the child I had written about and I was overcome with emotion at observing this child that was me who tried so hard.
  
  I moved away from the US when I finished my sessions with Sarah, and my life became too hectic to work on the great exercises and discussions which we had. What she helped me discover about myself was very valuable however, and this helped me in other areas of my life.
  
  I found her excellent at helping me get to the heart of my motivations, and I am grateful that she guided me to look at my behaviour and motives in an objective way and to realise that anger and judgment might be behind my stated career preferences. She is also kind, intelligent, insightful, and a great listener. To get the most out of your sessions with Sarah, you will need to work hard and look at yourself, which can be very uncomfortable, but is ultimately rewarding. Sarah Kowalski is a superb career and life coach.

  Sarah provides excellent one-on-one support through career and life transitions. Working with Sarah gave me the courage to leave a job that was not a good fit for me and to find a much better situation. I would particularly recommend Sarah to any attorneys who are considering changing jobs within the legal profession or transitioning to a new field.
