“This school is awesome! The interactions I have witnessed: the teachers with the students is nurturing with an iron fist. The location is the only thing people ever point to when in an attempt to bring anything negative to light. The academics, school set up to provide support staff for each individual grade and individual student as needed. My daughter and I both have received that individualized support (for the first time at OUSD) here at Castlemont. OUSD student since 2nd grade. Tonight, I was invited to a parent participation outreach/focus group...paid! I feel they are making a mark and impact on the community by turning out well rounded "graduating" students...thanks!”

“We love Bernice and Joe Playschool! My daughter, who just turned three, started at B&J's one year ago. She has a LOT of fun in the AMAZING backyard and in the comfy and toy-filled indoor area. She has made wonderful friends with the down-to-earth and kind children who attend B&J's and we have made friends with the down-to-earth and kind parents. This is a most unpretentious preschool but I am very satisfied with the intellectual stimulation that my daughter receives. Meals are included here and they are all vegetarian, which I like (although we are not vegetarians). The teachers are engaging, nurturing, funny and incredible with the children. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. I know our family will cherish our memories of B&J's when my daughter is grown up and we will be so grateful for our good luck in finding it. A wonderful place for children.”

“The members are great and the tennis coaches (Ryan & Shane) are awesome. Great views from the deck and the facilities and workout rooms are kept very clean. The cafe isn't open all year around, which is a shame because the food is quite good. Alma, who is the child care person, is top notch!”

“We’ve brought our girls to the parent and child drop in since they were babies. It’s a very relaxing setting and the rotating instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. The absolute best parts are all water toys available (ducks to swim after, floatation things to help with independence, and toys to dive for) and the fact that it’s drop-in and so there is zero commitment. We love not losing money when something comes up.”
