“Back in November of 2021, I was looking to hire a personal trainer to help with my upcoming climb of Vinson Massif, the tallest mountain in Antarctica. I'm so glad I found Impact Fitness in Oakland because my trainer Liam was able to put together a personalized and custom program that focused on strength training and endurance. I've never felt more fit and strong in my life! We worked out 3 times a week and every session was fun and engaging. The gym is equipped with everything you need and more. And by the way, I was able to make the summit of Vinson, all thanks to Liam and Impact Fitness!”

“Serves best tasting Peet's coffee in the East Bay. Very consistently good. I've been drinking Peet's for over 30 years so I think I know what I'm talking about. I drive from Oakland even though there are 2 Peet's within a 1/2 mile from my house. Fruitvale is good. Lakeshore they don't care what the coffee tastes like.”

“My motorized blinds were too high for me to even think about trying to do maintenance myself. Melvin was professional, knowledgeable and completed the work in good time for a fair price.”

“The Food I am not sure how noodles differ in different regions of China. But when I walked by Classic Guilin Rice Noodles, it seemed like an interesting place to try. My friend and I ordered their Beef Brisket and Crispy Pork Guilin Rice Noodle (牛腩,脆皮桂林米粉) along with Special Small Bowl Rice Noodle (合味特色一口粉). The Special Small Bowl Rice Noodle came with a sampler of different noodles. These "Bite Rice Noodle" give a chance to try different noodle dishes. I enjoy both the Beef Brisket and Crispy Pork as well as Special Small Bowl noodles. I like these styles of noodles, and the flavors, though similar, are pretty good. They of course have a variety of other dishes besides noodles, so will need to return and try them. The Miscellaneous The restaurant itself is decent sized with a good amount of seating. The interior is clean with interesting decor, giving the typical Chinese restaurant vibe. The service and staff were nice and sincere. They took our order when ready, and the wait time for the food was pretty quick. Their menu has other selections besides noodles such as stew, hot pot and rice plate. The prices are not unreasonable so it is worth a try if you are in the area.”

“Dr Li-chun Ou, on the first floor, is excellent. He was the first person to unlock the muscle spasms I had in my back about 20 years ago after a sports injury. Prior to him I had tried different forms of PT and medical doctors here in the US and in France were they even tried cortisone shots. Nothing helped. Dr. Ou in one treatment relieved most if not all of the pain. I came back yesterday (20 years later). His place has not changed much and him neither did him (well as far as i could tell with the mask on). Anyways, he performed his miracle again and relieved me of my back pain. Very good care. A long acupressure treatment plus acupuncture and electricity.”

“Amazing fried chicken and fish, I get it every time I'm in Oakland. Extremely affordable as well. Entirely worth the trek through what looks like a war zone for this chicken. It's that good. Mac and cheese is great as well. Not so hot on the bbq ribs, but regardless, everything is fresh and delicious.”

“I've been here twice now and I've loved it both times. I've been searching the bay area for some good birria tacos and I've finally found my spot! The meat om the tacos is juicy and tender and the sauce is not too salty. I got mine extra crispy so they ddnt get soggy...... if you're in the area you need to check them out.”

“This place is totally worth the hype and deserves its reputation and Bib Gourmand. The soba brought me back to one of the best meals I have ever had, at a traditional old school soba joint in Tokyo. I certainly can't claim to be a soba expert, but all of the flavors and textures in the cold and hot sobas here went together perfectly and reminded me of that long ago meal. The tamagoyaki was excellent. The tempura was light and airy and crunchy in just the right way. The ebi croquettes were out of this world good. The fiddlehead ferns were unexpectedly awesome and a real treat for us, since we've never had them before. The pressed salmon was just "okay" and was the only component of the meal that wasn't even better than we'd hoped. The Okinawa mochi was probably the best mochi I have ever had. The service was excellent, as well. Oakland is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant.”

“First time at this place and my husband and I enjoyed the coffee and food very much. While we waited they have free samples of the coffee and doughnuts. We ordered 2 lattes and it was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was tasty overall in terms of the bread which was toasted nicely, the egg and bacon was seasoned beautifully but when we asked for jalapenos it wasn't spicy at all but more for the crunch factor. If we are in the area, it's a nice spot for breakfast. highly recommend to Give it a try.”
