The staff were very professional and kind and my kids enjoyed the visit. We did not have insurance at the time and I found the rates for the appointment to be very reasonable and significantly better than other dentists I had called. “The Rotary Nature Center is an awesome place to take little kids. It's small and a little rough around the edges, but kids could care less. There's a live snake and tarantula. They also have bees and others stuffed creatures. They also have different nature programs, some restricted to those 18+, and volunteer opportunities. The best place to watch the birds in the nature preserve is right next door. The center sells bird food for a dollar.”

“Arrow Sign Company did a phenomenal job with our logo sign from start to finish. The final product itself (aluminum sign with LED lighting) is stunning—the Arrow team did a beautiful job with the fabrication and installation, especially given all the precise specifications for it to fit perfectly in our space. The team also took the time to speak with me to determine which type of LEDs would best suit what we're looking for, and spent time providing individualized support to help us get up and running with the technology after the sign was installed. “This is most likely going to be the last feedback I ever give on a church. This church holds a special place in my heart. This is the first REAL church I went to. Just some trivia facts, when he was in High School, Tom Hanks went to church here, I wasn't here at the time. The high school group at this church had a HUGE impact on my life, what a great High School group it was. I got involved with VBS...Vacation Bible School at this church, and Urban Outreach. A beautiful church building. Gorgeous stained glass windows. The time I spent here was primarily high school-college years. Thank goodness I found this church, praise God for First Covenant Church.”

It has been a key part of West Oakland history, with St Martin de Porres school. It is a centrally Black Catholic church, with a growing Spanish speaking parish and overall multicultural flavor. Very welcoming to all! 💯❤🙏, as our biracial children are warmly embraced.”

“This place is a gem! It’s located in an area that desperately needed a local coffee shop/ hang out spot. 5 stars because it is dog friendly! There is a seating area in the back that’s adorable to spend some time in. The espresso is rich and smooth and the little pastries they offer are always baked perfectly! My partner enjoys the empanadas and I like the vegetable quiche. Finally, a veggie quiche that isn’t entirely composed of onions, tomatoes or mushrooms! I enjoy that it is walking distance since no other coffee shops or breakfast spots seem to be this close. Obviously, the prices are a little high for the area, but rent isn’t cheap either. I can say you do get quality for your money though. Before this coffee shop, it was a liquor store that got quite a bit of business, but we have about 4 convenience stores within walking distance from this place so it’s not missed.”

“Our uncle has been living at this facility for one year and we feel so fortunate to have found it! It provides a safe community where Chinese-speaking elders feel comfortable - with healthy, familiar food, Chinese newspapers and games, exercise and other activities, a doctor that comes to see the residents, and more. Best of all, Andre and Alice clearly care about the residents, treat them with kindness and respect, and communicate clearly with us when any issues arise. We are so grateful to them!”

“I had ordered a custom Hennessy cake for my friend's birthday. They do ask you to provide a sample photo for the order. The baker did a fantastic job creating this cake! It looks absolutely amazing!! Definitely exceeded all expectations. It was a peanut butter frosting and chocolate cake combo. And the taste was just as good if not better. It was the right amount of frosting and sweetness and tasted delicious. The staff is also extremely friendly! The baker David personally came to chat with me and get feedback on the design of the cake. It is also reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this place!”
