“Last night was our first visit to Food Factory. Everything from "soup to nuts" was amazing! We can't wait to go back to try different menu items. We thoroughly enjoyed the wings, club sandwich, collards and prime rib . We highly recommend Micky and his crew to all.”

“A very supportive, comfortable, and well staffed transitional housing unit with wellness groups, social activities within the community, counseling services, case management, a secured and stable housing initiative, as well as big living and dining areas with lots of board games, arts and activities, and space for exercising and learning. I would go back, but now I don't qualify! ..Perhaps to volunteer. They also offer a cash incentive (can only be used for food and must show proof via receipt) for allowing participants to purchase and create full meal plans. On top of that, they have food, drinks, snacks, and fruits at all times in the house so you can grav a snack day or night and for the most part come and go as you please. There is a curfew when they lock the door, but it's reasonable.”

“The staff are super friendly, the business is kept clean, and it's a welcoming atmosphere. The washer fees are reasonable with free dryers. I would have given it a 5 star review if it weren't for the out of order signs everywhere; about half the machines are down currently.”

“Holy cow, this is in the middle of the mess called the Bay Area?! Very nice park that seems way outside of a busy area, but is right next to it. The roads to get to the campground are rather curvy, so it takes a while longer than expected to get down into town if you need to go, so try not to forget anything but the stress of being in the middle of the East Bay!”

“Great location. Feels like you're so far away from civilization when in fact you're not. Great view of the lake and the bay as well. Highly recommend!”

“Gorgeous historic home and grounds open for tours. The house was built by Alexander Dunsmuir for his bride in 1899. The house was decorated beautifully for the holiday season and also had lots of holiday photo opportunities outside for children, as well as two bouncy houses. There was a high tea event available, tickets available online and had sold out by our arrival. Friendly and helpful staff were plentiful. Parking was $15. Disability Information: Disabled parking available on request, with drop off and shuttle available to the house. The lovely walk through the grounds is on a paved but slightly bumpy narrow road that gently ascends to the house, which sits on a small rise. The road is perhaps 1/8th mile long. There is a ramp to the back door, but tours enter through the front and people are carefully routed in one direction only. Some stair climbing is necessary to see the house; I did not see any elevator or disabled access to the second floor. The restrooms are nearby in another building, but require either ascending a fairly long stair up the hill or using the slightly steep ramp walkway tucked around the back. Printed information throughout the house offered no Braille. The movement of foot traffic through the house moved at a fairly good pace, but if one wishes to move at a more leisurely pace most of the time there is room to allow others to pass. A lovely place to visit and we all very much enjoyed it!”

“Really great part of the Oakland zoo. It was the highlight of our visit. The grizzly bears were playing in the water by the glass then getting fed, a cougar was walking then Jumped in a tree, there was a fun small little playground with a slide and zip line. The kids loved the playground more than the animals.”

“Pretty good food for being in the zoo. Burgers and salads. My son and I love to sit on the balcony and enjoy the splendid view while we eat. If you're going to eat at the zoo, this is the best spot. You can also bring your own lunch to eat as well.”
