  This is a great hiking / mountain biking place because of several reasons:
  
  - not too steep up, not flat either - so, doable for most people
  - most of the trail is not fully exposed to sun - so, we can hike during sunny times as well
  - great views of the tri-valley and mountain ranges
  - has a restroom with regular water closet
  - has picnic tables
  - has beautiful meadows on the top of the hill - a great place to sit and relax, especially during early spring when the grass is green
  - bike-friendly
  
  Other points:
  
  - the access is through a gated community - visitors need to show their ID to gain access
  - the parking lot is not very big and it may fill up during peak hours

  One of the best parks in the Bay Area. Great hiking and biking trails. However you must be a Pleasanton resident to get past the guard at the gate.

  If you want to a quick exercise or glimpse of pleasanton valley, then this is the place to go. For openness and fresh air next to the suburban, dog walk or bike training. Not many trails to choose, so won't be lost either. No fancy views but depends on your perspective. That's my Saturday 2 hr hike place to go.

  Great place for a hike... good variety of trails. Plus a gorgeous view of the valley below and Mt Diablo!
