Cubby's Dog Park

Great dog park people are friendly and so are the animals.

This is my favorite place to take my puppy. We started visiting it since the puppy was 5 months old or so. There are a lot of very friendly people (dog owners), who are helpful and you can always strike a conversation. Likewise, the dogs are usually friendly and the majority of the owners do keep an eye on them. If your dog doesn't like the place, there is a nice trail that starts right at the entrance. Parking is plentiful. There is water and some shade. My only wish is that there be some lighting, because once the sun goes down, the park has to close.

It is a great dog park in Pleasanton, it has two separated sections, playground for dogs, water and free doggy bags for you know what :) two personals feedback on the negative side, during hot days, you have too little shade, I wish more trees were installed. Second, it is all shredded wood chips, I wish it was more of grass or dirt instead. The people you meet are always friendly, good place to find new friends. if you have a dog, come over :)
