  I recently had Island City Bikes convert my venerable Long Haul Trucker to an ebike. I have owned 100's of bikes in my lifetime and consider myself a lifestyle rider.
  
  Island City Bikes did an incredible job on my bike. It is a very clean conversion and I couldn't be happier with the process, or the fun I'm having riding it.
  
  I highly recommend this shop for ebike, mid-drive conversions.

  Above & beyond, every step of the way! ICB is clear, knowledgeable, happy to answer a million & one questions before, during, and after. They converted my existing bike into an e-bike, and I could not have been happier. The price is good for the market, and the added security of an expert installation was hard to pass up. I have done over 600 miles in less than 2 months, and that never would have happened before! Thanks to Island City Bikes being so awesome & fast, we even sold our car and are living bike-only.

  After doing lots of research on different e-bike brands and models I decided to have a standard bike converted by Island City Bikes. The amount of care and personal attention invested in my bike by Al, the owner, was really impressive. He's super knowledgable about all things e-bike and was happy to answer the many questions I emailed him before I'd made any commitment to having him do the build. The bike turned out great and Al's guidance throughout the process helped me get something that really fits my needs.

  Alvin did an amazing job with our bikes. He is very honest, when we came in we were ready to buy new bikes but he saved us money by clearly explaining that our bikes were good candidates for retrofit. We have since sold our car and could not be happier.

  This is one business where the owner is clearly "hands on" from start to finish. A few months before having my bike built by Island City Bikes, I began emailing with questions. The answers were always prompt and sent directly from the owner Alvin and were super thorough. He never pressured me to have the build done by them, but always went above and beyond in his explanation of the process. I eventually decided to go with Island City Bikes and Alvin sent details of how the build was going, complications they were running into and parts that needed replacing with prices. His estimate was "right on the money," and he even forgot to charge for a derailleur pulley they had to replace, but I reminded him of that cost and he said they'd just charge me their price for the part, no labor. He sent pics of the completed bike as well as pics while in process including stripping the bike for cleaning, cleaning each part, replacing cables, and even sent a picture of the packed bike with shipping tracking information. He did the same with tracking information on the battery. He even test rode the bike himself and adjusted things accordingly. I can't wait to receive my bike as it was just shipped!
