And now they’re the same company as pelagic so they literally can’t be beat!! Suzy in customer service is beyond helpful. Such nice folks. Couldn’t be happier. Monitor windvane installed on a 1970 Wauquiez centurion 32 in San Diego.

(March 19, 2020, 8:54 am)My first experience with Scanmar began in 2014 with the purchase of a new (at least to me) sailboat. Mounted on the stern was a Monitor Wind Vane self-steering system, a system I had no clue how to use or how to repair. A series of phone calls later, you can always talk to just the right person, and I was up and running. Suzy diagnosed the needed repair parts for my 40 year old wind vane and provided plenty of technical advice. I've experienced that same level of exceptional service every time I have contacted Scanmar regarding a new product or resolving a problem. I will always remember being anchored off a small island in Maine and working with Mike over the phone to fix an issue with a Pelagic Autopilot. He diagnosed the problem quickly and I received a replacement module in a couple of days. Scanmar is the perfect combination of smart, dedicated sailors and a line of great sailing products. You can't ask for more than that.
