Harry's Hofbrau

I have lived in San Leandro all of my life and finally visited Harry's Hofbrau. I sat at the bar in the back and the setting was nice. There was a nice diverse crowd of diners. The bartender was a very nice man. I was hoping they would have my favorite beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap but they did not. However, the bartender suggested Drakes Pale Ale and it was very good. I ordered a pastrami sandwich to go but it was half the size of Togo's large pastrami and cost the same. Togo's has the best pastrami I have ever tasted, even though the small pastrami sandwich from Harry's Hofbrau was good, I will be returning to Togo's for my next pastrami sandwich. I will return to Harry's Hofbrau for their dinner items and their great selection of beers on tap.

Harry's Hofbrau was a favorite of mine during the years that there was one locally. Now they have only two restaurants with the closest being San Leandro.

It's a great place for lovers of freshly carved meats. Turkey, roast beef, corned beef, all sliced as you watch. It's the best place ever if you get a craving for a turkey dinner with all the fixings in July.

Most meats and other things like tuna and hot dogs are available as sandwiches as well as full dinners.

Really great spot, very underrated. The food here is always good no matter what you get. The bar is stocked full of various adult beverages. It's always clean and everyone working here is very helpful. Cafeteria style ordering. I recommend the Roast Beef dinner plate if you're a meat lover like me. A wide variety of desserts as well. I'm pretty sure they make everything in house so you know it's good.

Perfect as always. The food is solid. More like home cooked than a restaurant. The atmosphere is old school. Plenty of room for large groups. Not too loud so you can still talk with your group. Huge beer selection.

This is a great restaurant. It has lots of tables & an outside patio to eat your meal. Their menu has lots of great choices that are available every day & daily specials that rotate every day. Check out there menu online. Also, they are open long hours until late night. The food is prepared with care & quality. Generous portions.
