Riyaaz Music Shop

Wow! What an amazing shop. I booked an appointment with the owner and he really took the time help guide me through his collection of harmoniums. His tabla collection was impressive as well. Everything was very organized, it made for a great experience.

Riyaaz Music Shop is an amazing store. I’ve been in many times not only to make a purchase of a fabulous, high quality Tabla set, but also to take lessons with the owner Happy. He was kind, patient, and really generous with his time. He really wanted to make sure I left with something I loved and went above and beyond to make sure I tried every single possible Tabla. He also helped me tune up the Tabla set before I left and gave me a tuning lesson. The store is currently only by appointment, but having the one on one time helped me feel less rushed and able to focus on what I wanted to get. I highly recommend this store as they also have great quality harmoniums as well! Definitely planning on making another purchase there soon.

My son is learning Tabla for the past 3 years under the guidance from the teacher Happy Singh (who is the owner of the Riyaaz Music Shop). I am very happy to say that I found a great teacher as he is very friendly and have lots of patience with younger kids like mine. I would encourage younger kids to learn Tabla from a good teacher like Happy Singh, who can make the foundation very strong.

Riyaaz Music Shop carries a terrific selection of high- quality Indian instruments. The owner/proprietor Happy Singh personally invests time ensuring each instrument is a quality find, and helps match you with the instrument that suits your needs. My tabla set is a fantastic quality and sound, and a joy to practice on as well as beautiful to look at. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and quality of this shop.
