“This was my sister's and my 1st visit to any FamilySearch library. This one is located on the expansive campus of the LDS Temple in Oakland. The grounds of the complex are worth a visit by themselves, with rows of colorful flowers of many varieties, waterfalls, and fantastic views of San Francisco, the bay, and at least two bridges. Despite a lower number of assistants than usual, due to summer vacations and illness, the staff volunteers were extraordinarily helpful from the first inquiry telephone call we made all the way through assisting us in finding most of the sources for which we were searching, along with pointing us in the direction of additional documents we were previously unaware of.”

The front and the billing staff checked all my insurance (calling me back to verify the numbers when it didn't match up first) and resolved it all before my visit. I honestly have not had anything from them that I did not enjoy. EVERYTHING on their menu is out of this world! So if you're craving great, nostalgic island-style cuisine, Mo's Hut is the place to go currently located at the corner of Hesperian Blvd & Paseo Grande in San Lorenzo as of July 2022. Their plate portions are VERY generous! Love that they offer side portions of ALL of the menu items that come in the plates. Their palusami is the BEST I've ever had! Char Siu pork is tender and seasoned well as are their other meat entrees like the teriyaki chicken & beef. The green bananas cooked in coconut milk is a favorite for me but their baked taro is the best paired with the palusami. Their chop suey is flavored with just the right amount of ginger, I love it! And their two baked island desserts are a must-have, can't leave without getting some of the pineapple pies and the pāpā. What's even better about their food, tastes SO MUCH better warmed up the next day! (If it lasts that long in your home!)”
