  I came in through the F street entrance next to Alhambra High School. Entrances can be hard to find so plan your trip ahead of time. The F Street entranceis a strenuous climb. When you get to the plateau, things become easier. This is a beautiful walk that for me started in the trees. Once on the plateau, you are in grazing lands with cows. Yes, there was a cow very close to me with no fence between us. It watched me but did nothing. The view is spectacular. You can go towards the coast or towards the Muir house. I had found the walk in 90 degree heat enough when I got to the plateau. I did see a deer, within 15 feet. Not a bad walk, it would be nicer on a cooler day.
