  At this Dojo I have experience an atmosphere of caring, knowledgeable and disciplined aikido teachings. Great teacher that helped me to face my fears and started to bring out the best of me.

  My experience at the Hikari Dojo has been everything I've wanted in practicing a martial art.The students there are thoughtful and helpful, which makes learning at your own pace easy and fun. The traditional way of this dojo is a humbling feeling to be in. Aikido is an art form peaceful at heart, yet effective in its objective, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of learning it with Sensei.

  Hikari Dojo is a must visit for anyone considering a Martial Art. This is a traditional Aikido school offering a real martial art that has been maintained and continued as taught by O'Sensei. It is the kind of place where modern Americans can find a sanctuary from our busy lives and experience Japanese budo as it has been taught by the founder. The classes are welcoming and the students friendly and helpful. The Iwama style Aikido taught here is exciting and fun to practice and very educational. Hikari Dojo is a cultural experience that will enrich you physically, mentally and spiritually.

  Hikari Dojo offers students of all levels of martial training the opportunity to explore the challenges and joy of resolving conflicts both on and off the mat with courage, benevolence and a unified intention of extending protection to all parties involved.
  
  A member of the dojo will find a very skilled and creative instructor. Louis Jumonville Sensei is devoted to help students develop an effective practice of techniques and principles which can help them achieve balance and harmony in a way that is positive, humane and mature.
  
  Yoga is also available to the students who train Aikido and will support integration, balance and flexible strength.
  
  I find it is a tremendous joy to explore the physical exhilaration and spiritual fitness that follows a practice such as is offered at Hikari Dojo. It is so very fun to explore finding balance and our centers, and practice learning how to flow with and reconnect with the living force within.
