magical gem - we went on a wet rainy day and for the most part which made the whole place glisten. we suggested to our neighbors who went the next day and absolutely loved it.
Very beautiful hike full of vibrant green moss covered trees and ferns galore!! Was fun learning from the placards about local plants like the bay tree which smelled delicious!
A rare plant community is the highlight of this park. Loop routes require descent/climbing but you can do an out&back route for a flatter trip. All trails connect to the larger east Bay ridge network - from here you can hike north to Sibley or south to Redwood Regional.
This is an excellent place for a coastal arboreal nature walk. Trails are well maintained and rangers periodically patrol the area. Parking is free and no admission charge
Picking flowers or taking wildlife is strictly prohibited and being loud is discouraged.
Beautiful loop trail with educational fact plaques along the 1 and a half or so mile loop. Great for a day out hiking for family...KID friendly! Good for a solo Zen hike, fun with friends or a date! Weekends are more crowded and parking may be limited by noon.
