  Awesome place for jogging and walking. Birders' paradise. First time visiting this place in my vacation here. Serenic landscapes. Offers excellent opportunities for Photography. ( I could not find a restaurant or a coffee shop . Neither a rest room!! That's a surprise. Or if that's there, I missed the sign boards. Cola vending machine was not working. Hope the concerned authorities will set it right )

  Good place for a quick visit from bay area. Kids would enjoy the little play area and the birds. Not a lot of walk.

  The Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge is a hidden gem just of the Dumbarton Bridge on the Fremont east side of the bay. The refuge, not far from the bedroom suburb of San Francisco/San Jose, is a windswept scenic area of marshland. The wildlife refuge is fun to just hike the rugged landscape. However, I would recommend the nature walks that show case the variety of wild life in the area. I went on the gray fox walk and so enjoyed learning about this elusive animal so close to human habitats. It's a great place for family walks. Bring your binoculars. You never know what you may see.

  Gorgeous location for sunset photography and general viewing pleasure. Miles and miles of stunning panoramic views of the bay, baylands, mountains, and skyline (extraordinarily awesome and inspiring at sunset.) This is a very open area, with sea breezes, and moving waves. Here, human civilization is seems much less visible. It easily conjures up thoughts of what life was like 300 years ago and beyond, a time when human population was sparse.

  A wonderful outdoor place to see the Bay and the nature around the Bay. You can enjoy a bird view from the hill or go close to the Bay to see the wetland. From time to time, there is an educational tour to walk around the place. Check out the schedule, as it is really helpful to learn when a knowledgeable expert is walking with you to point things out. It is free of charge. If you don't want to pay the entrance fee to the Coyote Hill, go there from here. It is also ok to go fishing here.
