  Just over one year, from White belt to Green Belt. My Granddaughter and Grandson have grown in many ways. Thank you to Shihan Guido and his staff of Excellent instructors.

  Guido’s is the best. My son has improved so much in the past few months. Each achievement is earned and never given. It makes each stripe worth more. They take the time to work with each child as needed and build up their confidence. They make the dojo feel like family. I would highly recommend them.

  If you need a birthday party for active kids look no further!! Guidos donated a birthday party to my child’s school and I won it. It was one of the best parties for active children I have ever been to!! Master Guido was awesome!!! I told him our party was Star Wars themed before hand.
  When I arrived the table was set with Star Wars plates and bottled waters. He also had Star Wars dessert plates and napkins ready!!! All I had to bring was cake and favors!! Pizza drink paper supplies included!!
  At the party master guide was awesome!!! He started with a fun game while guests arrived. Then taught some basic skills. He was patient and kind to every child. One party kid was scared and when he finally joined mast Guido brought him him and gave him extra support! 2 kids got bumped and were crying. I almost stepped in but Master Guido handled it with ease!!! I was able to relax and enjoy!
  The kids got to kick bags and every child got yo break a board! My birthday boy got to do a Running kick!! He also got to help master Guido cut the cake with a huge sword!!! My boy loved it!!!! Thanks for making his day super special!!!

  Guido's Martial Arts Academy is a very great place to train. I have been training with Mike Guido for about 6 years now. Still working the 40 hour work week, making as many classes that injuries my work schedule and life would allow.
  I remember through the years about his visions in wanting to create a Martial Arts School that would last a lifetime. When I was maybe a blue or green belt at the time he had visited a super show in Las Vegas that implanted great seeds of success in his thoughts. Guido implemented changes through the years pass down to his students. Watching him through the years I have seen him not just talk the talk of a martial artist; but walk the walk in everything he has shared.
  He is a valued person to the community's of Clovis and Fresno areas. He has done many demos and bully preventions through the years for these school districts and in guiding our youth.
  I was very fortunate to achieve my black belt on March 18, 2017 and I am very grateful to know this man inside and outside of the dojo. If you are looking for a positive outlet and a great family and friendly environment, then come visit GMAA. He has built something more then kicking and punching, and created a FAMILY of martial artists. OSS!!!

  I first met Sensei Guido while he and his students were doing a demonstration for the dojo.  At the time, I was very uneducated about karate, and thought it was a fighting sport, and had no idea it was anything beyond that.  My 5 year old son thought it looked fun, so we decided to take him to a free first class and see what it was about.  When we walked in, we were greeted warmly by not only the Sensei, but the parents and students as well.  Sensei sat down with us and explained a lot of different aspects of karate, what they represented, and he really opened my eyes to what it’s all about (not just fighting).  After class we were a bit worried our son wouldn’t properly fit in with the other students, both socially and academically, because he was one of the youngest there.  Sensei assured us that he did great, and it was just going to take time.  Not surprisingly, he was absolutely correct.  Within just a few classes, he started making friends, was able to follow commands, and most importantly he was enjoying it.  I am a homeschooling mom, and finding (quality) friends for my children to socialize with can be tricky.  I am thrilled with the socialization that not only my son gets, but I get as well.  I have never been somewhere where I have been welcomed as much as I have been with the people of this establishment.  If you ever have any questions or concerns everyone there is ready and willing to talk or answer questions.  It is such a wonderful family to be a part of.  It has always been obvious to me that Sensei Guido takes pride in his academy, and wants what is best for you and your family.  My son looks up to him, and I truly believe that he is such a great role model for him.  I would recommend this academy to anyone looking for a place to send their child, or even people who aren’t looking for it.  I really can’t say enough good about this place.  I hope if you are reading this and trying to decide on a place for you and/or your child to go you will give it a try!
