It's a good college. Not too bad, not good either.
Pros: A lot of student resources like book to rent, parking is free (in the meantime of this review), also laptops and hotspots to check out. Cheap class - some with already used textbooks and some without textbooks so students don't have to spend too much money. Computer lab is a free lounge for students and tutoring is in there.
Cons: The school is in its initial (startup) phase so... not a lot of student activities going on to due previous mention, not a lot of resources yet, and not a lot of storefront save for the bookstore and the cafe on the side. Also their new textbooks run out, you cannot get it from the other colleges like Madera CC or Fresno CC. It is a conglomerate community college.
I attended their Roctober Fest with a co-worker and it was fun. I met several very nice people that were part of putting it on. I also met several students who were nice.
I currently attend this school and I’ve had nothing but positive things happen to me. I have one teacher (Shout out to Mr. Tostado aka Mr. T) who has been incredible and I know have him for the 3rd semester in a row. I have two more semesters before I graduate and I’m so excited to be the first one in my family to graduate college. So I think a lot of the reviews are just from disgruntled students who didn’t have a good experience. Everyone’s experiences are different. I love this school and couldn’t imagine going somewhere different.
I have been going throughout highschool and this school has been nothing but accommodating. The staff is friendly, the teachers are nice, and the free duel enrollment is the cherry on top! Would recommend to any one looking for their associates degree. The practice for entry during this school semester does require you to be a student or staff.
I completed my associate's degree here, with other previous classes at Fresno City. I had a wonderful experience at Clovis. The lowest level of education from instructors was masters degree, the rest were either PHD or MD. All professors were great and willing to do whatever it takes to get you to be successful in their classes. But, this is college so they will not just hand you the answers and pass you, you must do the work.
