“Reading Cinemas is a good theater, probably the busiest theater in Bakersfield. The price of a GA ticket is fairly priced, but if you can try to make a matinee showing to save some money. Snacks are expensive, I feel like I am dumping my wallet for a small popcorn, so if your hungry try to eat before. Now for the rooms, they were comfy and and had some space, but if you go see a busy movie expect to move your legs if someone has to pass as their is not a lot of in aisle walking space. One of things I really don't like is having to pick a seat before even going into a theater, maybe some might like this but it's not for me. Staff is always courteous and friendly.”

“This is my favorite location of all. I live pretty much across the street from them. Drinks are always well done and very good. But, today we got new straw made of cardboard, instead of the regular orange plastic ones. I get they want to help the environment, but, I couldn't drink from it. My drink taste it like cardboard. I was very disappointed since, I couldn't drink it comfortable. So, I was going to go do my errands and decided to go home instead to get a plastic straw from my plastic cups at home. I think they should have both kinds and give the customer the option to choose.”

“Writing a review based on customer service which was excellent!! I bought my friend a gift card for her bday online and the gift card didn’t reach my friend. So I called in 10 mins after close, and to my surprise Katie from MG picked up. I could tell she was exhausted from the day but that didn’t stop her from trying to figure out how to get my friend the gift card. Even though I told Katie it would be fine if my friend got it the next day, she wasn’t having it. Katie was determined and on a mission! She called me 20 mins later and sorted everything out with the owner and my friend got her gift card shortly after. When my friend got the gift card she was thrilled and raved on about how much she loves the food from MG!! So happy I decided to purchase from MG and looking forward to trying a meal or two when I visit my friend in Bakersfield. Thanks MG for being great and kind!!”

“This was not my first time eating here. While I've obviously liked it enough to return, the food was particularly good this time. The process of dining in here has been altered due to the pandemic. You use your phone to scan a barcode that brings up a menu. That digital menu is used to place your order as well as pay. The service includes an automatic 16% gratuity added to your bill. Overall it was a good experience with good food. My only complaints were that the food was quite slow to come out after ordering and the gratuity was fixed. I feel like the amount of gratuity should be flexible based off the diner's perception of the quality of service. That said, I understand that adjustments to the"normal" need to be made during the pandemic. I did feel like they did a good job today.”
