Great place to visit, I have visited a couple times have not seen any tortoises but I have seen lizards, birds, and insects. It is a nice nature walk with neat scenery.
Very nice place to check out if your in the area and have 1-2 hrs to walk around. Ideally, you want to get there right when they open in the morning so your chances to see a tortoise are higher. Right now there's lots of little yellow, white and purple flowers cover the desert floor. There's 3 different hiking/walking paths of different distances and there's a variety of desert animals to see like lizards, snakes, birds, and tortoises. In my case, I wasn't able to see the tortoises, but I did see their burrows in which most likely they were in in the afternoon.
A must go to.
The Desert Tortoise petting zoo is awesome.
