  This place is a hidden oasis in the High Desert. They have Buffalo (white and brown) Camels, Emu's, Zebra, a baby Camel, Reindeer, Yaks, Llamas, Guanaco's, horses, donkeys, ponies, pigs, sheep, and goats. It's an actual working ranch, and are only opens on Saturdays.
  
  The gate fee is only $5, and I was able to purchase carrots there to feed the animals. Of course, it's free for children 3 and under.
  
  It's a very interactive experience, and instead of looking at the animals from a distance; you can actually reach out and touch them, and get to know them better. Their volunteers are very helpful, and Windswept is always looking for more volunteers. They even had fun things like story time, paint a pony, camel rides, and even a playground with swings, rock wall, a play house, and I was able to bring a lunch and sit and eat on a picnic bench under the shaded area. I'll go back again, because they are only open from April to October. :) (Some photos were from Crystal Ziegenfuss)

  The volunteers were great and really informative. The only downside was all the extras cost extra. It's an extra cost for pony rides, carrots for the animals, and to 'drive'.
