“My wife and I enjoyed a nice meal here at Denny’s. We drive out of our way to go to this specific location. It’s very clean and all the staff is very friendly. I ordered the American burger it was absolutely delicious. The grilled onions were like flavor crystals. We also ordered an appetizer with the meal, the cheese tots. No disappointments with anything. The restaurant was very clean. We’ll definitely be returning to this location in the near future. Also, if you’re interested in ordering to go this restaurant is always consistent with their to go customers. Give them a try, you’ll be glad you did!”

“Bangkok Street Food was recommended to me as unique restaurant in Bakersfield to try out. And it really was a good choice. The inside is quite comfortable, but the restaurant and location lend to a more "order and go" feel. There are 15 tables so about 30 people can sit comfortably inside the restaurant. It feels almost like eating at your grandma's house: cozy and relaxing, and waiting for some really good food. Being a Thai restaurant, there is one dish you can use to compare restaurants: Drunken Noodles. This place hits all the right notes: spicy chili, minty basil, juicy meat. The noodles did clump together, but it kind of made it a bit easier to eat. Maybe it was the atmosphere, but I found myself enjoying this place a lot more than Chef's Choice Downtown. It might be a bit hard to get a parking spot here, but you can just as easily order for pick up. This is definitely a place to try.”

“Maggie’s Sunrise Cafe is my favorite breakfast spot in Bakersfield! I drive clear across town a few times per month to enjoy breakfast with my girlfriends. We could meet someplace more centrally located, but we all agree that the drive is worth it! I’ve ordered several different menu items and never once been disappointed with my choice. The portions are huge and the service is top notch. Maggie herself personally checks on us during every visit. One of my favorite things about Maggie’s is the family vibe that the employees share. They seem to really enjoy working there. I have recommended Maggie’s to all my friends and family!”

I've been coming to this place since I was in highs school and it's just as good now as it was back then. This place KNOWS how to make good burritos and tacos. They are giant and you will definitely leave satisfied. Try the green salsa from the salsa bar and make sure you get plenty of lemons! You won't regret coming here, probably one of the best hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants in town.”

“Found this place while doing some errands up to this area. It located right on the busy Main Street and in the strip malls . We came in a greeted by a very warm and super nice lady at the cashier. She ran through the special of the day and mentioned the Tuesday’s tacos only $.99 a piece. They also have a special deal on Pizza. We ordered tacos, Chicken wings, pizza and Chilli fried cheese. The crush of pizza was good and the pizza sauce was also awesome. The chicken was delicious as well as tacos. We loved it. Besides the foods, the staffs were helpful and friendly. There was also an arcade area where the games and other stuffs for the kids and adults to enjoy. We would be back again to try out the other foods on the menu. The place was also clean with superb services.”

The prices were reasonable, too. There were around 18 adults and 6 children in our group but that didnt faze the servers. They were always on point even for as many as we were. Also ordered Thai tea, because our soda was flat and I needed something else. Thai tea was fantastic! I could drink it all day. Also tried the egg flower soup and it had mushrooms and green onions. Not the typical ingredients but still tasty. They serve Chinese, Thai and Japanese food here. The menu is very lengthy which can feel a bit overwhelming. Portions for price were really good. “Goose's is still the best place in town. This is the older one on 18th, I haven't been to the new location. Yet. This place always has the coldest beer on tap with frozen mugs to make it even colder. The food is outstanding, try the gyro, it is probably the best in Bako. Hot wings agree great too. My favorite are the honey garlic wings, sweet and sticky with a little bit of heat. Prices are reasonable, parking is the only thing not that great but parking is bad everywhere downtown.”
