I came to Dr. Su seeking help for my back and shoulder pain. I received such specialized and thorough care. Each session she asked me when I felt the pain and since it was telehealth, we both had to get creative! Her expertise and positivity in my recovery and rebuilding phase helped me get back to a pain free life and back to an activity I loved so much! My awareness in how my shoulder and back should move has improved so much that I don't feel any pain now. I will always seek out Dr. Su's care and expertise!
She cares about the patient hollistically and when she found out I was also recovering from hand surgery she also integrated this with my back and shoulder pain recovery. Thank you so much Dr. Su for everything!
I cannot recommend Dr Su enough. Everyone, but specially dancers and aerialists need to go see her!
After injuring my hamstring last fall, I thought all I needed was a month or two of rest and I would be good as new to resume my favorite aerialist hobbies... I was wrong. Walking hurt, sitting hurt, stretching hurt, raising my legs in the tub to wash even hurt. I finally caved and decided to reach out to get physical therapy.
Dr. Su is more than familiar with how dancers move and can potentially injure themselves. In my assessment, she measured my muscle strength and flexibility and came up with a plan that took my goals into consideration to get me back on track. She gave me exercises that helped to strengthen weakened muscles but also identified muscles that weren't doing their share of work. When some exercises didn't work as well, she'd find new ways to trick my muscles and my mind from guarding my injury to be able to bring my strength and range of motion back. After all visits she emails your personalized program- complete with a link to an app that you can use to watch, follow along or keep track of your exercises so that you don't forget.
Now.. Walking doesn't hurt, sitting doesn't hurt, I can reach my toes again without groaning and actually do the splits again! Thanks Dr. Su!
