“Fish and chips were very good. You have a lot of options: fish, shrimp, oysters, calamari for example. Chinese food is also available. Place is quiet run down looking and the staff doesn't wear a smile on their face full time. However, they are professional, our fish is wonderfully prepared with this, crunchy batter. Hot braised shrimp was as expected with the shrimp being very fresh.”

“Time to update this review. If I could give it more than a 5, I really would. The first time I came here, I was skeptical about the portions and options. The menu is cheeky, but the food here is fantastic. Like before, I still really enjoy the chicken tenders and fries basket, as well as Steve's Burger. The staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is great. Not only are the burgers, fries, and chicken amazing, the salads are great too. Most people who come here order a salad- fresh, refreshing, and flavorful. The portions are well sized and the seating is ample. I'd suggest signing up for a FiveStars local rewards account so that you can rack up points to unlock different rewards.”

“Great lunch here. I really enjoyed the variety of dishes. They even have lettuce wrap. I would go again. Very spacious setting and high ceilings. The parking in the back makes it very convenient to dine in. The menu items are pretty straight forward. I went with what I think was called the "Von"?? It was an Italian sausage with pastrami and cheese and was the best. The tater tots we're good too. “Closing at this historic location by end of 2018. Until then they still have their traditional diner menu at this historic landmark in the corner of Alhambra. Food usually prepared correctly but service can be very slow when busy. They have good-sized portions however prices are high for the food and drinks you get. Shares parking lot with In-N-Out so parking can be horrible when both are open. Moving to South Pasadena on Fair Oaks near the old OSH, Sees Candy, Starbucks and FedEx Office.”

“I just enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner at Alhambra’s newest Hawaiian restaurant, Musubi Hawaiian BBQ located on Fremont Ave at the 10 fwy. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Chicken and was NOT disappointed!! They stir fry their entrees to order as evidenced by the wonderful fresh garlic smell coming from the kitchen. The entrees are served Hawaiian style with rice and potato macaroni salad. The entrees are also Hawaiian style in that they are very large portions, very satisfying. BUT, for me, the real find at Musubi Hawaiian BBQ was the Grilled Salmon Musubi, you read that right, Grilled Salmon Musubi. For those of you who enjoy Spam Musubi but sometimes find it a bit on the salty side, the Grilled Salmon Musubi is the perfect cure. Can hardly wait to try some of the other dishes on their menu, such as their combination plates that come with the usual rice and Macaroni salad plus veggies. “One of the best ramen in San Gabriel Valley. Premium spicy tonkatsu had a creamy, thick, bone broth. It was actually big enough to be shared with my wife. Chashu was melt in your mouth quality. We asked for mild spicy and customized just right. The egg though was disappointing. Both the egg white and yellow were runny. Still 5 stars!”
