Take a right into the Switzers Picnic Area and follow the narrow paved road about 1/2 mile down to the lower parking lot. The trail to Bear Canyon Trail Camp begins at the east end of the parking lot across a wooden footbridge.

The Bear Canyon trail after it splits from Switzer falls is really nice as it follows mostly along Bear Creek and I did not see one other person on this path till I got back to the Switzer Falls went to Bear Canyon Camp and beyond towards Tom Sloan Saddle. trail beyond camp is overgrown but beautiful.
