The double back hike is just under four miles, includes crossing a stream several times, navigating boulders and fallen trees, and some trashy tagging (is there such a thing as nice tagging). The hike ends with a cool waterfall. It’s worth the adventure.

(December 15, 2018, 10:44 pm)Refreshing hike in Eaton Canyon Falls. Pretty smooth hike, you might need to cross the creek a few times as it rings across the canyon. It’s small enough to effortlessly walk over on stones. We had so much fun. Enjoy!

(December 5, 2018, 4:54 pm)This hike was like the New York of hikes. Lots of people were there when we went. Not a very quiet route. Very easy but the path starts to disappear into rocks at the end near the falls. Just keep following the valley and you'll find the falls.

(December 2, 2018, 11:56 pm)A great little getaway from LA city life.The waterfall is simple nothing extravagant but the surroundings is like a cathedral made of rocks. The temperature is cooler. The trail itself starts out at a relatively easy grade on a big dirt fire road so there is ample space for all the hikers.
The hike getting to the waterfalls is enjoyable. I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend you visit at least once.The hike to the 40-foot Eaton Canyon Waterfalls can be summed up to: 1.1 miles of wide flat, relatively uneventful dirt trail, followed by 0.65 miles of single track up a narrow canyon that is adventurous and fun (forming a 3.5 mile round trip hike with 375 feet of elevation change). -

(October 8, 2018, 12:35 pm)Great little escape from the busy city. In September, the waterfall was just a trickle, but I'm told it's more gushing in May. The trail is hard to find, however - don't overshoot it and go uphill like I did! Some signage would be helpful. When you see the bridge, go underneath, not across it. Follow the riverbed along the canyon floor, which provides welcome shade in the summer. Overall, a nice, meditative spot.
