The trail is nice. Lots of dogs and people around. At the top theres remnants of an old hotel.
Awesome place for exercise and an even better stress reliever. It's good to get away from society at times. Fresh air and amazing views.
I almost got lost here and saw the Blair witch. She was really nice to me and helped me find my way back. It only costed me my soul.
This is a great trail. I did it at night on a full moon, it was bright enough that we didn't need any flashlights, which is pretty cool. It's an awesome feeling hiking by moonlight.
The trail itself is pretty well maintained and isn't too rough. There are some parts with a lot of rocks on the trail, but it's pretty mild compared to some other trails I've been too. It's not too steep either which is nice, considering it's quite an elevation at the top. It's 3.5 miles to the top, 7 miles round trip. Took us about 2 and a half hours to go up and down. And the view is definitely worth it. There's there ruins of an old hotel and the cable system that brought guests up to the top. Very cool to see that part of LA history. You could see the entire East LA from there. Overall very nice hike, I plan on going again on a full moon.
Great workout from the beginning to the railway marker to inspiration point & around the back.a little over 10 miles starting from the front gate. Took us 4.5 hrs & we started at 7 am.
