Sturtevant Falls Hiking Trailhead

This is a great start to hit Mt Wilson if you dare to.. lol i was able to go to the observatory and back and was the best!! I really enjoyed going thru the whole thing cause besides the beautiful waterfalls you come to camp sturtevant that was awesome. 15.2 miles is what you may do from here to the observatory and will definitely challenge you for about 1.4 miles of that stretch after sturtevant camp.. I will definitely be back!!

Great hike, the waterfall was flowing nice that uphill on the way back was kinda hard

Started hiking with two little kids (7 & 4 years old) at 10:45 am. First 0.5mile down hill was easy. Next 1 mile uphill under shadow was also nice. Arrived at the falls at 11:35. Since we were waiting for rain, there were good amount of water at the falls. had lunch and back to parking at 01:00PM. It was kids friendly hiking. Though a bit crowded and had to waitfor parking spot, overall 4stars hiking.

Suggest going after a rainy day to see the beautiful waterfalls, but be careful of boulders coming down from mudslides. I wasn't as lucky in getting out of the way in time.

Maintenance is on going constantly checking safety, i appreciate their hard working :-)
