Informative displays, great staff, clean restrooms.
The Nature Center is run by the Catalina Island Conservancy. It is free and is located about 3/4 of the way up to the Wrigley Nature Park along the scenic road from Avalon. It has displays about the flora and fauna found in the island. They offer clothes and souvenirs. Staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions. Currently there is a live camera on one of the Bald Eagle nests.
Small, but thoughtfully curated. Well worth 20 minutes to learn about the interesting natural history of the island. The host was very friendly and engaged the kids that were present.
Very cool souvenirs for your visit to Catalina. It's a very small "museum" with some interesting things to see and fun tidbits about the history and setting of Catalina Island. It's free admission, bike parking outside, and a good spot to check out or to just beat the heat on your way up to the botanical gardens!
Very friendly and informative staff. Cool Catlina trinkets and good shopping for Catalina themed gifts. Great place for kids.
