It is awesome here! Great views & very well maintained. Only thing that would be appreciative is better signage to know where to go.
Cool like spot. If you live in the LA I want to feel like you’re far away without the drive there you go. That’s also where they film the opening scene from the Andy Griffith show
The best place on Earth in my own backyard. It used to be a well-kept secret, however with things like the internet nothing stays secret for long. Surrounded by Nature, and lovely Lake it's serenity at its best.
$100 fine from a stop sign camera enforcement at the park entrance arrived in the mail.
It was our first visit to the park on a quiet weekday afternoon with the children. There were only a few cars parked in the lot that day. The koi pond was a neat surprise.
It is drive getting here. The roads are very narrow, but worth the slow drive up! Little disappointed that there were no signage directing visitors, so if it is your first time, just follow road rules and explore. I parked in the parking lot, not a side road lot as there are plenty of those. The trails has no signs or starting points. You gotta use your natural ability to navigate through the paths, and if you play it safe like me, stay aware of your surroundings and you will be fine! There is a nice lake and hidden streams. If you go to Canyon Lake road, there is this trail that goes up and up and up! After the breathless hike to the top you will see that it was worth it. I could imagine what it would be on a clear day or at night with the glistening downtown city lights in the distance. I would recommend to give this neat park a try, even for a stroll. It is a world away from the hustle & bustle!
