Jacob Moussai, M.D.

I became a patient of Dr. Moussai a little more than five years ago and he has been a pillar in my life ever since.

We have had our share of disagreements and so many ups and downs but I have always ended up going back to see him. Why?

Because I know that:
#1 his straight talk / bluntness (even though it was difficult to swallow at times) has always guided me to the path that was right for me &
#2 he genuinely cares for me

He is a blessing in disguise.

I will always be thankful to him.

I'm beyond grateful to have found Dr. Moussai. He is extremely thorough and caring, both as a professional and on a human level. Great with meds and doesn't over prescribe. Over the five years I've seen him, any time I am struggling, he has gone above and beyond.

As an introvert, therapy was at one time my biggest fear and dread. It took a monumental effort to even go through different therapists, wanting to give up, until by some stroke of luck I found Dr. Moussai. Not all psychiatrists even deal with talk therapy - some just go based on symptoms and medications. This is far from the case here; he really values his patients and getting to know them. That aspect enhances the effectiveness of treatment more than anything. He is incredibly warm, easy to talk to, and skilled; to the point where I look forward to my appointments with him. He's changed and saved my life.

I feel so lucky that I found Jacob, I am confident that the time spent with him (just over a year) absolutely changed the course of my life for the better. His is the perfect combination of MD and therapist, meaning he listens and is empathetic, but always comes back to the facts. He does not placate but instead enables the patient to face the reality of their actions and feelings and helps them move forward in their life.
I moved recently and sadly had to leave Jacob; I have met with 2 other therapists who don't come anywhere close to him....hope I find someone else even half as good as him.
