The Henry Cook Lookout Point

WHOA! Haha... I loved the minimalism of the scenery. All you see when you get up here is a bench, and some trees. But it like juxtaposes perfectly with the view! It’s so... zen like. I come here often to meditate or get away from the stress of city life, and for that, I am extremely grateful for The Henry Lookout Point for giving me a peaceful place to experience exactly that, peace.

Truly a gem of Burbank. Love hiking here! Me and my girls went up here a couple of weeks ago, and had a blast. Make sure to bring some sunscreen! Awesome times. The trail entrance is right by the Nature Center.

Honestly, The Henry Cook Lookout Point should be crowned as a national monument. It has phenomenal lookouts, gorgeous landscape, and valleys wider than the Grand Canyon. If you need a place to have a first kiss, a first date, or even just a place of solidarity to get away from the annoying modern world, this is the place for you. I would also recommend visiting here even if you are 500 miles away. If you are anywhere in the State of California, or even in the United States of America, or even on the continent of North America, this is a MUST SEE. People go there and come back a changed person. It will cure any disease, any sadness, anything. I would give it 500000 stars if I could. I know people who go there on the daily, including one that lives in a tent there because it is so beautiful. I have fallen in love with the place and the pictures you get there are phenomenal, and will make you look like a supermodel. It is one of my favorite places to visit, and I URGE YOU to visit, or even just leave a great review because of how great it is!

I must say I was very impressed by the quality and beauty of the Henry Cook Lookout Point. I read all the other reviews and was wary when I heard “Oh, this place rocks!” and “I love it!” In my experience I’ve often been let down by reviews like this when I go to the actual location. I can happily say that it is not so with the Henry Cook Point. The trail was moderate, and within a half an hour I reached the point. It was stunning. The entire valley laid out beneath me. My wife and I sat down for at least 15 minutes on the benches and admired the view. To be quite frank, it’s hard to find a view like this in Burbank. We didn’t even have to walk that far; like I said it was a moderate trail. Thank you very much to the City of Burbank for establishing such a beautiful trail. I hope to return very soon!!

First of all: COME! You get an AMAZING view of Burbank and the entire valley. On a clear day you can see out to the ocean and even out to Malibu Creek. The hike is manageable- including time to stop and enjoy the view it would probably take about an hour. I’d highly encourage anyone thinking of coming to this point to do so!
