There is a good variety of food to choose from, including seafood and meat. I found the open salads to be something different than what I usually find in chain restaurants.
Prices are reasonable for the amenities and attention that the restaurant provides.
I want to go back soon and enjoy more combination ;)
Been coming here 40 plus years. It's safe so I go alone often when hubby is working. Food is always fresh. I don't get salad bar, it's looks just ok. Cheese toast always hot and fresh. Service great!
I just moved back to the South Bay area. I noticed a lot of Sizzlers closed because of the Pandemic. I did a phone search for a restaurant I could take my soon-to-be 80-year-old father. I searched under soups and salads.
In disbelief, I called to be sure it was open. Yes (smiling) to my surprise it was open.
I tell you it was like it never closed. The food was fresh. I had the Salmon and my dad had the steak and chicken which was cooked every well. The service was good. The staff was very nice. I enjoyed the salad bar. Very clean inside.
Prices like other restaurants have risen by still worth the cost to eat healthily.
I've been to their new breakfast buffet four times now. It's something they started relatively recently, but they're improving. It's a relatively basic selection. You won't find poached or over-easy eggs here, just scrambled. Mini omelettes on the steam table, but none made to order like the omelette bar at the old Home Town Bufffet in Torrance. On one visit they handed out little survey cards on at the end of the meal, and I mentioned that the sausages were disappointing, being undercooked and cold. Next time in, the sausage was browned and perfectly crunchy, and everything on the steam table was covered to keep things warmer. They're definitely making an effort there, which I really appreciated!
Ah Sizzler. This location has been here for decades and it used to look like it's been there for decades, but they did a total remodel and it looks good. They have dine in, and many of the menu favorites are still there, like Steak & Shrimp, Steak & Lobster Tail, and my favorite Malibu Chicken ,yum,. They still have the Salad Bar, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I got sick one to many times from eating from the salad bar. You'd think because of COVID they would keep the salad bar closed, but no it's open. Sizzler was having financial challenges way before the pandemic so I'm not sure how much longer they will be around. You may want to give them a visit while you can.
