When realized the bike I ordered would take longer to ship than expected, they offered to send an upgraded bike at same price for expedited shipping. (July 31, 2018, 5:02 pm)At 1st, I was leary to order from this company. X-offroad had no Google or Yelp reviews. The BBB had no info on them. Even the web had not much info other than their website. I pulled up a picture of the address off of Google maps to see a white office building. I decided to call SSR motorsports who is the manufacturer of the product I wanted to purchase. SSR assured me that X-oofroad was a distributor for them and is in good standing. SSR went on to say that they had not heard of any complaints about this distributor.
Still, I had several conversations with X-offroad before I ordered. I am in Ohio, they are in Califonia. Its not like they are just around the corner if I needed to go visit them. I took a leap of faith and ordered. X-offroad delivered as promissed. They have been very responsive to any concerns or issues I have had. I am extreamly pleased with their service level and response times wether it be by messenger, Facebook, or email. Not only would I buy from them again, I would even gladly recommend them.
As for the product. We ordered the SSR Lazer 5 moped. We compared this unit to the Tomos mopeds. There really is no comparison. The SSR moped not only looks better, it is built much better. The Tomos is a little quicker on take off becuase it is a 2 cycle engine instead of the SSR 4 cycle engine. 4 cycle engines are cleaner and don't need the 2 cycle oill which reduces your fuel cost dramacally. The SSR moped has chrome, a better seat, handles more weight, smoother ride, and more.
When your bike arrives be prepared to a liitle assembly. Don't worry, it is really easy. In fact my son assembled his moped all by himself.
