I had an infection about this time last year. Half of my face was swollen. The first dentist that was able to see me told me it looked scary and referred me to a surgeon. Then I tried Dr. Li. She cut open the gum, removed the loose tooth, drained the pus, and put some medicine in. The pain and swelling quickly went away. The office charged me a very reasonable price for this emergency procedure. I really appreciated it. Now I got my dental implant done this year. The implant tooth look and feel great. Finally I can chew food on my left side jaw.

I went to a local dentist for an exam. I was suffering from gum disease for years. Now many of my teeth were loose and I had a bad smell coming from my teeth. My dentist recommended removing all my teeth and replacing it with a full denture. I was scared since I am only 48 years old and will lose all of my teeth. I worked hard, took care of everyone in my family, was super busy and neglected my teeth. Now it is time I should take care of my own health. I asked my general dentist if there was another option to save my teeth. My general dentist gave me the referral card for Dr. Li, Periodontist in Diamond Bar. He mentioned it will be worth the commute even though I live 25 miles away from Diamond Bar. I contacted Dr. Li’s office and made an appointment for a consultation. It was one of the best decision of my life.

Thanks to you Dr. Li, my periodontist, who took care of my gum disease and placed implants for me.
After evaluation, Dr. Li explained the treatment plan and options to me. Three steps were planned for treating my gum disease to replace my missing teeth.
First, extractions of some of my loose teeth combined with periodontal surgery, which removed the gum infection and saved the remaining teeth as long as possible.
Second, after 3 months of healing period to allow my gums and bone to completely heal, implant surgery for replacing missing teeth. Removable partial denture was another option. However, partial denture’s chewing function will not be as good as implant teeth, similar as comparing bicycle with car.
Third, 4 months after implant surgery, final implant crowns will be delivered.
I asked her if I can have temporary teeth after extraction. Since the treatment will take a total of 7-8 months, I don’t want to walk around without teeth. Dr. Li told me that she will make removable dentures as transitional teeth for me during the healing period. But she also warned me not to chew on the denture teeth since dentures will press on my jaw bone and cause bone loss.
After the thorough consultation, Dr. Li suggested that I don’t make a decision right away. She wanted me to fully understand the treatment plan and knew the difference between implant tooth and removable denture, then decide what treatment option I will choose. After another two weeks of research and thinking, I decided to get periodontal surgery and dental implants instead of denture.
I was scheduled for the extractions and periodontal surgery. The surgery went perfectly. Dr. Li was so gentle and I didn’t feel any pain. All the bad smell from mouth went away right after the surgery. I regretted that I didn’t do this treatment earlier. Maybe Dr. Li could have saved more teeth for me if I had seen her several years ago. Three months later, 4 implants were placed. Same as first surgery, painless, I didn’t even take the pain pills.
I just got my final implant crowns delivered 2 weeks ago. I was so happy for the result. Now I can chew again and enjoy my food everyday. These implant teeth look so natural and feels stronger than my own teeth. I love them so much. Thank you Dr. Li! Your professional treatment changed my life. I feel so lucky to have you as my doctor.

Great doctor and amazing experience! i just had implant surgery done last week. I would not call it surgery. i went in at 4pm and it was 4 :45pm when i left the office. it seems it took less time to have an implant surgery than to have fillings done. and it DID NOT HURT afterwards. did not take any pain pill.
Dr. Li has GENTLE HANDS with nice chairside manners. been very through in explaining procedure/instructions. i had the amazing dental experience in Dr. Li's office. She is a very gentle and sweat doctor. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER FOR DENTAL IMPLANT

I took my son Alan to see Dr. Dan for braces and loved it there. The doctors are very professional and treated my son like a family member. In fact I referred two nieces and other family members for braces and implants to Diamond Dental Specialty. I usually don't like to write reviews but I am extremely please with the treatment. I did a lot of research and found out that Dr. Dan is one of the few orthodontist with a PhD and used to teach and work for Long Beach hospital for the cleft lip/palate team. If you are doing research and looking for quality work at affordable prices this is the place for braces and implants.
