Mr. Rudy's Barber Shop

Good place to get a haircut by a real barber. He actually used scissors and a comb as well as clippers to cut. That takes a particular skill which I don't see a lot of new barbers applying.

Great Barbershop. This Establishment is Family Friendly. The Haircuts are of Very High Quality. All around Great Service.

Looking around Downey for a place to finally cut my hair after 7 months of DIY haircuts at home, I came to give this place a shot. I made and appointment over the phone for the next day. Arrived and was greeted by Fernando a very nice and friendly man, he cleaned up the chair before I sat down. The place was clean and looked like a classic small town barber shop. Fernando and I made small talk through the haircut, good conversation. I showed him a picture from my phone of when my hair looked "normal", and he was able to give me the same hair cut. I was happy, it was just me and him in the entire shop as he was working by appointments but did say sometimes if he was not busy he would take a walk in. (call ahead highly advisable). before you get up from the chair the added bonus was a nice shoulder massage with a machine that he uses, not a long massage but a courtesy shoulder / neck tension relaxer. That was welcomed. I gained an new barber here locally. Thanks Fernando.
