Gary was able to come over on quick notice to do a walkthrough of various projects we were thinking about doing and give us an on-the-spot estimate which he followed up with a quote about a week later. We wanted a wall removed for two closets to be joined, multiple rooms of carpet to be changed to laminate, drywall for the garage, and a new closet to be built--so a real smorgasbord of stuff.

Gary gave an incredibly reasonable quote for the work and was able to start when it was most convenient for me. For the long list of projects above, it only took about 6 days of actual work from him and his crew, and he kept me updated at every step of the way. When an unexpected issue arose regarding a beam, he gave me my options, gave me reasonable prices for different alternative solutions, and gave his suggestion which I greatly appreciated. Throughout the whole process, Gary made sure everything was to my satisfaction and drew my attention to any issues that arose to give his advice and get my direction.

My home is significantly improved at a very reasonable price thanks to Gary and his work and my wife and I are both thrilled at the results. I cannot recommend him highly enough when you are soliciting quotes for general contracting work in your home.

We have been working with Gary on several different projects of complete renovations of homes including square foot additions to complete new structures. He's been great to work with. Very timely, does what he says in the time frame he says. Work just keeps moving along and his crew is always on top of things. His prices are very reasonable and he's also a very pleasant man. We worked with Gary again to repair the "garage" in the rear of our property. I use garage loosely because it was more like a shack that was leaning over with a leaky roof and doors that had to be propped up with sticks.
Gary and the crew worked their magic to repair the framing, install a new roof, windows and new siding to match the house. The fact they were able to salvage it without tearing down is astonishing. Now it looks like a lovely extension of the house instead of a creepy shack - 11/10 would build again.

GK Construction has worked for us twice - once a complete remodel of an apartment and also he renovated an industrial space for us. In both cases Gary quickly and expertly transformed our spaces. He has a big crew of very skilled workers who showed up every day, including Saturdays. There was not a minute wasted which was important to us.
