Dr. Chang is the best dr. ever!!!!! This Dr. Is very experienced, and he cares about patients.

Mom and are amazed how he practices without equipment and is very accurate. He told me things only my doctors were aware of.

Really appreciate Dr Chang's expertise and knowledge. Anyone lucky enough to get an appointment with him is blessed! He's brilliant!

The address is correct, but Google maps street view and the location of the pin is off. Jian-Tai Acupuncture is located in the strip mall located right in between Sushi Umi and the Bank of America ATM. If you're driving North on Hacienda Blvd. The entrance to the strip mall is on your right just after McDonald's.

First, our family have been coming to see Dr. Jimmy Chang for about a decade. So the short review is to go see him and his wonderful family/staff.

The long and involved review is that Dr. Jimmy Chang is a gifted diagnostician who has been practicing in the field for years of ancient Chinese medicine. 9/10 diagnoses from every member of our family and friends have been diagnosed correctly and independently confirmed by Western medicine through multiple blood, urine, CAT scan testing.

Dr. Jimmy Chang is extremely candid about his practice to the point of being blunt, he'll tell you if he can't do anything for you but he will also tell you if there are things that he's able to assist. For example, a family member have a blood disease, he was able to cure it over a two year period, however a family friend was not as fortunate even though it was the same auto immune blood disease. Their stages of disease and their health condition differed and Dr. Chang was candid in his diagnose and treatment so there was no misunderstanding. One other thing, with Chinese medicine, is you have to be patient, you might see effects right away, but to deal with the complete illness it might take more than year or two or three. It just depends on your situation. Also when he's able to effectively treat your illness, he'll just say, I'll take care of it and tell you not to worry. He'll tell you when you no longer need to come back to see him. Yes, this happens a lot.

In terms of the office and appointment logistics. You need to call ahead and make an appointment. No walk ins. He's extremely busy and have local clients and international clients. He travels internationally to give lectures, so call otherwise you'll be disappointed. If it's urgent keep calling until you get a hold of someone. This is a family run business, so a live person will answer your call. As of today, 02/17/2015, they are opened Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 10-12 & 2-5. They are closed during lunch time to finish up paperwork and have lunch. They are also closed Sunday, Tuesday, Friday. A consultation and visit with Dr. Chang is $95 including your herbal medication. Contact the office for current pricing. The diagnoses usually take 15 minutes, however everyone is different. If you aren't familiar with Chinese medicine diagnostic techniques, please Google it to manage your expectations. Once Dr. Chang sees you he'll usually recommend a course of action like what food you should and shouldn't have then prescribe your herbal medication. He won't always recommend herbal medication. After your visit with Dr. Chang, you will be directed to the waiting area again for your herbal medication. This can take anywhere between 15-30 minutes while the staff in the back prepares your herbal medication. (Dr. Jimmy Chang's office use ground herbal powder instead of the really traditional herbs that need to stewed all day. This can be a pro or a con depending on your preference.) When it's ready they will call you, give your instructions and you pay by cash or check, no credit cards. I do not have information about accepting insurance, so call them and ask.

One final note, the front staff is great, Dr. Chang's family run it and you get the intimate and personal touch, but they also a few other non-family staff members.
