This place is phenomenal. Massive showroom space filled with an eclectic collection of handcrafted furniture, pots, pottery and decor from around the world (sourced from 23 countries to be exact). You could literally stroll around for a few hours, but walk out empty handed. There are things inside to marvel at, but be aware, prices match the unique and hard to find nature of these items. Planters can range from $40 - 7,500+.
I have just seen your store on the program 'Lone Fox'... Wow, love all Moroccan, Indian, Indonesian furniture & accesories, pity I live so far away, im in South Africa.
Your store is a true inspiration! 💃💃💃
Amazing place ! You can buy stuff from Thailand, Indonesia and all Asian here
Amazing spot for Moroccan, Indian, Indonesian Home Décor. Prices are a bit high, but you will find some truly unique items that you won't find anywhere else. Very grateful for the Moroccan door I bought. Will be back 👍👍
This place gives me goosebumps every time I visit. For me, it feels like a spiritual vortex of peace and relaxation. I know that’s weird. I know it’s a “store”, but I get this feeling of happiness and renewed value when I wander around. Nutty? Maybe... but..... It’s literally my favorite store in the world and I travel all over. My traveling is why I love this place so much..... the owner travels all over, too! And she fills shipping containers with items she has gathered in remote areas of far away places. That saves me the expense and complicated hassle of buying a large item in Morocco (just one example) and trying to get it home. And because the owners have been doing this treasure hunting for decades, they know how to find the remote locations that are dilapidating or being demolished for updating. She finds the treasures I have no map for locating. Then she brings them to her giant warehouse and surrounding outdoor storage area- it’s gotta be at least 2 acres of space. Then you get to wander around this museum. She has a team of guys who can repurpose ANYTHING to meet whatever guidelines you give them. They’re carpenter magicians! THEN, you can have those same men come to install your newly made creation. Often, this means building the hardware on the spot.
I have an 800 pound gate hanging in my stairwell that is completely and solidly attached to the wall. I’m wondering if it may be the strongest wall in my house now?
The location may put people off for some ridiculous reason since it’s near LAX. But where else can this massive collection of treasures and decorative accessories be displayed?
It’s one of my favorite places. I’ve been known to bring friends and champagne to the store to spend a few hours investigating, and indulging in creative designing dreams! I have filled my home with many of the pieces from BERBERE. Now I need a new house to decorate! I’ll do it for free! Any takers????!!!
