    Perhaps not the most exhilirating experience ever, but certainly a hidden gem! The Lanterman House is a true time machine, masterfully preserved in all its glory.

    great way to spend some free time on an afternoon if you’re into architecture and home design. interesting and informative tour, lovely wall murals throughout the house.

    The Lanterman House was built 1915 of reinforced fireproof concrete. A ballroom - that has not really been useful due to the lack of ballroom dancers- covers the entire second floor. Much effort went into the appearance of wealth and literacy. At the end of the day though, the pretty book covers and the partial marble floor are just such a sorry sight.

    An attempt to have nature bow to one's will. A focus on the facade. It tells the story of survival and of struggle.
