Relaken Hot Stone Yoga

I’ve taken classes at quite a few studios throughout Long Beach, and Relaken is definitely my favorite. I’d even say it’s one of my favorite studios I’ve been to anywhere! In my 10 or so years of doing yoga I’ve managed to avoid hot yoga—it just never appealed to me. But a friend recommended I try Relaken so I signed up for the Moon Salutations class with Jill. The staff are all welcoming and supportive and have created a relaxing and unintimidating atmosphere. The hot room itself is small and intimate, with low lighting and natural décor. It perfectly sets the tone for centering your mind and relaxing your body.

The Moon Salutations class is a great combination of strength and stretching, and Jill is a wonderful teacher. She gives just the right amount of guidance when it comes to alignment and approaches her students with compassion and a desire to meet them where ever they are in their own practice, working from that point to make sure they get the most out of her class.

I always feel refreshed after each class (which, trust me, I never thought would be the case with hot yoga) and have learned so much from Jill in the time I’ve been her student. I can’t recommend Relaken highly enough!

This place was amazing :) I had never tried a hot stone session before and I am very happy I did! I was a bit hesitant due to the temperature but everything went great and my session was so relaxing. I was even given a towel set and robe to change into for my session. The best part of my experience was laying in the stone room. The stones felt so warm and the relaxing music made me feel very at peace. Then right before my session was over I was given eucalyptus towel to help me transition and cool down and it felt amazing!

Great Experience! Very unique than any other yoga places. They use special stone that imported from Japan as their floor. My body felt so relaxed and flexible after laying on the floor and sweat for 50 mins. The whole facility is brand new, nice and clean. I will go back to try a yoga class. Highly recommended

This place is incredibly relaxing!
The hot stone room is amazing, I had never experienced anything like it. I was on the verge of falling asleep multiple times because it's so calm and soothing.

I definitely recommend going in for a session of relaxation and meditation, escape your stress!!

Amazing! This studio is truly one of a kind. You can feel the energy the moment you step into the Stone Room. It's magical! The instructors are passionate, giving and I love that the classes are unique in that they don't repeat sequences exactly the same everytime. My yoga practice is sure to deepen and grow here. I can't wait to spoil myself even more and try the Hot Stone Sauna time. The front desk gals were very helpful and attentive and the locker room was clean and beautiful. Such a cool place and worth every penny. I will post more after the sauna experience. I highly recommend adding this studio to your places to practice. It's so much more than I can even articulate. Hot Stone Yoga is next level evrything!
