(December 6, 2016, 6:31 pm)It's a lovely park with lots of Juniper and Joshua trees. There's an information board with maps you can take along your walk. There are numbered trail posts to help you keep your bearings. There's a porta potty near the information board.
The gate is always closed, so you need to park on the side of the road and just walk in (see my photo of the front gate).
Tip: I don't have a good sense of direction, so I used Google Maps to drop a pin on my car and help me find my way back.
